Are you our new ARTIST?

We’re looking for an experienced game development artist to join our journey at Funday. If that sounds like you, we’re off to a pretty good start.

  • You’ll be working as an artist throughout the entire game dev process from early concept development through final production and beyond launch. This will require you to not only have a confident technical and disciplinary foundation, but also to have some experience developing games. As an artist at Funday your job will include tasks such as:

    • Creating original 3D content, ranging from simple assets to full-fledged environments.

    • Model, sculpture and texture stylized environment assets, props and characters.

    • Work with rigging, shading, and lighting.

    • Implement, configure and improve your work directly in Unity.

    • Help shape vague ideas into concrete concepts to help the team align on the game direction.

    • Collaborate with team members of other disciplines to make needed adjustments to the production pipeline and art assets.

  • We are looking for an artist who is eager to work with games (primarily PC/console) and who has experience and a proven track record for doing so.

    Professionally you…

    • Have a strong portfolio that showcases your work with concepting, 3D modeling, sculpting and texturing.

    • Have a strong sense of design, scene composition and visual storytelling, with a good eye for lighting, color and detail.

    • Have experience with Blender, Substance Designer, Maya or similar tools.

    • Are proficient with rigging and the more technical aspects of shader work.

    • Have experience as lead artist or similarly relevant experience setting direction, communicating, reviewing, orchestrating, etc..

    • Are comfortable with setting and maintaining the art direction for a project.

    • Are used to working directly in Unity, and know your way around the engine.

    • Generally find it easy to adapt to new tools and programs.
      Are passionate about game development and know how to visually engage users.

Are you our new QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST?

We’re on the lookout for a QA Specialist, who would love to support all of our game development teams with their QA needs in order for us to develop even better games. If this sounds interesting to you, then you might be the perfect match for Funday!

  • As our new QA Specialist, you’ll be helping us release and maintain our games with the quality, robustness and performance necessary for players to experience them fully, effortlessly and bug-free.
    This means that you’ll be working as a unit across our current projects both before and after release supporting our teams with QA in its many aspects. On a daily basis, you’ll be working with tasks such as:

    • Create and maintain a tactical overview of QA status across productions

    • Create and carry out external and internal test cases, including facilitating hands-on testing

    • Finding bugs & identifying their severity and reproduction steps for the development team

    • Prioritize the identified bugs through bug triage

    • Writing up detailed bug reports, capturing video documentation and performing regression tests themselves

    • Manage community-reported bugs (in collaboration with our Community Manager)

    • Manage additional QA support when needed (e.g. external subcontractors, temporary hires, freelancers, etc.)

    • Introduce, maintain and use QA tooling (e.g. Notion, Mantis)

  • Most importantly, we are looking for someone who loves games and enjoys the technical aspect of game development.
    To thrive in this role, you have some experience setting up and maintaining QA processes for games, and your toolbox probably contains insights of the mobile and computer games industry, knowledge of hardware, platform specifications and a general understanding of game design and development.

Are you our new DATA Analyst STUDENT WORKER?

We’re on the lookout for a student worker or part time colleague who wants to break down numbers and analyse and visualise data in order for us to develop even better games!

  • As a Data Analyst with Funday Games, you will support our teams in making the right decisions based on data from our games. Therefore, it’s important that you feel at home in data analysis and statistics. As you’ll be working on a small team, you possess a high level of learning agility - you can pick things up and learn quickly on your own. You feel comfortable working at changing paces, sometimes delivering quick, approachable insights and sometimes diving deep into the sea of data.

    Preferably, you are enrolled in a Master’s Programme that provides you with an understanding of data analysis in general. But most importantly; we’re looking for someone who loves games and is curious about how players interact with them.

  • Alongside Funday’s Head of Player Insights, you will be responsible for handling our data analysis which includes:

    - Looking at data in an exploratory way and investigating patterns, as well as helping interpret significant trends and changes

    - Identifying relevant telemetry and setting up data processing flows, while ensuring the quality of our data

    - Building actionable dashboards, e.g., through Google Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI - or similar visualisation tools

    - Conducting A/B tests, measuring impact of product and marketing changes, and maintaining a critical view on results

    - Communicating your findings to non-data-wizards

  • Your toolbox contains skills or know-how on tools and programmes like SQL, Python, R, or similar

    You can easily find your way around Excel and Google Sheets

    You are strong in data communication and reporting

    You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • We offer a part time position with approx. 15 hours per week with lots of responsibility, independence, and influence - always with nice people to spar and juggle ideas with.
