Process of Awesomeness (POA)
We're awesome. So we built our own awesome process.
It’s not a secret that we’re awesome. And in order to deliver awesome games, we need awesome processes. So we’ve created our very own: Process of Awesomeness (POA in short). POA ensures that all of our productions live up to our insanely high standards - and astonish our clients and users.
POA allows for iteration, agility and customisation. We put our clients and users in the driver’s seat, and through collaboration and dialogue, we produce the best possible game.
POA consists of the following five phases
1: Concept / Creating a vision
The vision is the focal point. Without a vision, there’s nothing to lead the process. The vision is a result of co-creation between our selected team and our client. Always with a user-centric mindset.
2: Project planning
We love powwows (the word itself should receive some sort of award). Two minds think better than one – and that’s why we use the project planning phase as a series of get-togethers. We make the tough decisions and define the possibilities and scope of the project.
3: Pre-production / Proving the vision is fun
We want to make fun games. That’s the bottom line. Based on the vision, we create prototypes, elaborate the game design, explore the visual style and much more. This phase ensures a high-quality product delivered through a smooth production – and within budget.
A somewhat self-explanatory phase. Because of the previous phases, the production will be smooth sailing. Here, we return to the previous phases and produce a game of the highest possible quality.
5: Post mortem
We always strive to learn from our experiences to improve future projects and processes. The post mortem phase is key when it comes to improving, innovating and staying awesome.
